Physical Culture and Sport

The committee of physical culture and sport of the region’s Government is in charge of state management and coordination of different branches in sphere of physical culture and sport.

Sport schools, clubs and societies

1. State establishment of supplementary education "Children and youth sport school" of the committee of physical culture and sport of the region’s Government promotes hockey, skiing, cycle racing, skating, and weight-lifting.

Sport base is a stadium with stands for 2000 seats, a specialized gymnasium for weight-lifting and a place for cycle racing.

The best sportsmen of the school:

Tatiana Danshina – a champion of Russia on skating, an international master of sport, a participant of the Olympic Games in Nagano (Japan).

Yekaterina Malomura – a winner of a Russian championship on cycle racing (road) among girls in 2001-2002, an international master of sport of Russia.

Oleg Andryushenko – an international master of sport of Russia.

Vitaly Skopintsev – a master of sport, a winner of the Russian Cup on hockey in 2002.

10 sportsmen of the school have played and are playing in teams of the Higher League of championships on hockey.

Ivan Skotsky – a master of sport of Russia, a champion on weight-lifting in the Far East.

2. Municipal institution of supplementary education "Children and youth sport school" of municipal formation "Leninskiy district" promotes football, volleyball, basketball, karate, kick-boxing and unarmed self-defence.

Sport base is a stadium for 1000 seats, a gymnasium. The school was formed in 2002.

3. Municipal establishment of supplementary education "Children and youth sport school" in Birobidzhan promotes basketball, volleyball, boxing, power-lifting, football, and chess.

Sport base is a stadium with stands for 1000 seats, gymnasiums, a specialized gymnasium for boxing, and chess club.

Vyacheslav Maizel, a master of sport on boxing, a winner of international tournaments.

Sergey Kozlov, an international master of sport on triathlon.

5. Children and youth sport school of the Education Department of the JAR Government promotes track-and-field athletics, table tennis.

Sport base is a specialized track-and-field athletics gymnasium.

Olga Burkanova, an international master of sport of the USSR on track-and-field athletics, bronze medallist of the World championship among juniors at 800 m distance.

Alexandr Sherman, a master of sport of the USSR on table tennis, a champion of the country in team contests.

6. Children and youth sport school of oriental single combat of the Department of Education of the JAR Government promotes karate and kickboxing.
